1. The Environmental Club will be screening Environmental Movies on Saturdays in April and May at the Maurice Pine Public Library. The films are directed towards the corrupt systems regarding the environment, the problems created for life, and solutions for sustainabilty. The admission is free and refreshments will be sold. All movies run 2:30pm - 4:30pm on April 21st, May 5th, and May 12th.
2. The Fair Lawn High School Library currently has an photography exhibit in its Light Gallery. The Light Gallery consists of the light sconces on the library’s columns. The exhibit is titled, Landmarks of Fair Lawn. The photos were taken by Mr. Yamashita’s Digital Photography Class. The students were assigned to photographically capture a historical landmark that represents the Fair Lawn community. In taking these photographs, students were able to explore a variety of viewpoints of their subject matter and the use natural lighting conditions for aesthetic values. The best photographs to demonstrate interesting viewpoints and lighting conditions were selected for the exhibit. The photographs on exhibit include views of the standing Clock at the Maurice M. Pine Public Library, the Clock Tower at the Plaza Building, the Red Mill, Temple Beth Shalom, the Fair Lawn Municipal Building, the Jacob Vanderbeck Jr. Home, Garretson Forge, and the Radburn Train Station.
