The Infectious Diseases Control unit of the Texas Department of Health Services provides fact sheets on a number of  diseases which include general information, description, testing and history of the disease.

Diseases and Conditions - Disease and condition information from Mayo Clinic Experts

The Mayo Clinic is a not-for-profit organization and a world renown medical facility.  Their disease fact sheets include the definition, symptoms, causes, treatment, tests and diagnosis, treatment, risk factors and prevention.

MedlinePlus offers the A.D.A.M. Medical Encyclopedia which includes over 4,000 articles about diseases, tests, symptoms, injuries, and surgeries. It also contains an extensive library of medical photographs and illustrations.  Information on diseases includes causes, symptoms, tests,treatment, outlook, complications and prevention.

MedicineNet - Health and Medical Information Produced by Doctors

MedicineNet is an online, healthcare media publishing company which provides easy-to-read and in-depth information on diseases including general facts, causes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

Professional Reference - A to Z

 This British website provides articles written by health professionals for professionals and medical students.

WHO | Fact sheets

The World Health Organization provides general information, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, prevention on diseases.
